Donna Roberts

Donna Jean (Henry) Roberts, age 82, passed away peacefully Wednesday, June 8, 2011. She was born February 26, 1929, in Coshocton, Ohio, to the late Ralph and Mona Belle (West) Henry. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, James R. Roberts, Sr. Donna attended the Coshocton Christian Tabernacle and was a member of the Church of the Nazarene for forty years. Mrs. Roberts worked as a cook at Keene Elementary for ten years and worked tirelessly for the River View Music Boosters when her daughters were in high school. Donna along with her husband Jim, were passionate about working in the church, including caretakers at the Tilden Nazarene Campground for ten years in Tilden, Illinois. She is survived by two sons, James R. Roberts, Jr. (Georgiana) and George (Debbie) Roberts; three daughters, Janie (Tom) Starner, Connie (Jack) Pickett, and Bonnie (Tim) Billman; 18 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; sister, Betty Howell; two brothers, John (Meriam) Henry, and Joe Henry; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Roberts was preceded in death by three sisters, Wanda Mellor, Dorothy Shroyer, and Mildred Brillhart; and four brothers, Jim, Herb, Leo, and Donis Dean Henry. Calling hours will be held at the Given-Dawson Funeral Home on Saturday, June 11, 2011 from 5-8PM. Funeral services will be held Sunday, June 12, 2011, at 2:00PM at Coshocton Christian Tabernacle, 23891 Airport Road, Coshocton, Ohio, with Pastor Sonny Easterday officiating. Burial will follow at Coshocton County Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Salvation Army, 219 North 4th Street, Coshocton, Ohio 43812.
