Dora Fern Fern Ogle

Fern was born on July 9, 1923 in St. Mary’s, West Virginia to the late William “John” Anderson and Clara Maude Cross. Fern and her husband, Willis, owned and operated Ogle’s Restaurant in Dexter City and in Macksburg, Ohio from 1957 through 1978, when they sold the restaurant and retired to Florida. They later returned to Cambridge, Ohio in 1944. Fern was a member of the Salvation Army, the First United Methodist Church of Cambridge, and the Come by Here Circle. She was very active in her community and, for many years, also enjoyed playing Bridge and Golf with her friends.

Fern is survived by her three sons: David (Carolee) Ogle of Cambridge, OH, John (Elaine) Ogle of Mason, WV, and Steve Ogle of Woodsfield, OH; four grandson: Matt, Dylan, Ben, and Troy Ogle; four granddaughters: Michelle (Richard) Schultze, Heather Stepes, Allison (Mike) Corner, and Shelley Ogle; and 8 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held for Fern on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church at 641 Steubenville Ave, Cambridge, OH 43725 with Reverend Max Veery officiating. A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
