Dorothy Marie Medley

Dorothy Marie Medley, age 83, of Coshocton, passed away on Friday, October 16, 2015. She was born in Zanesville on July 28, 1932 to the late Fred and Juanita (Stemm) Elmor. Dorothy worked for Essex Wire in Zanesville for many years before retiring. She enjoyed baking, cooking, and shopping. She also enjoyed animals epically her dogs and spending time with her family and friends.

Dorothy is survived by her son, Randy (Diana) Medley of Coshocton; three grandsons, Shawn (Carrie) Medley of Coshocton, Eric (Tiffany) Medley of Plainfield, and Erin (Amy) Medley of West Lafayette; eight great-grandchildren; one brother, Fred “Jr” (Nancy) Elmor of West Virginia; one sister, Ellen Wines of Zanesville; two very special friends, Cheryl King and Richard Hoover both of Coshocton; and several nieces and nephews. Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Charles “Bud” Medley; son, Steve Medley; and two sisters, Hilda Sheppard and Shirley McCloud Elmor.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, October 22, 2015 from 11:00-1:00pm at Given-Dawson Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 1:00pm in the Chapel of the funeral home with Pastor James A. Lillo officiating. Burial will follow at South Lawn Cemetery.
