Eliza Pauline Mobley

Eliza Pauline Summers Mobley, 85, of West Lafayette, Ohio, passed away at Lafayette Pointe Care Center, Monday, September 16, 2013. She was born in Barrackville, West Virginia on July 7, 1928, to the late Ellis and Ellen (Wilson) Summers. Pauline graduated from Newburg High School in 1946, and from David Lipscomb College in 1950. She spent the last years of her teaching career in the Ridgewood School System, retiring in the summer of 1990. Pauline married J. Harold Mobley of West Lafayette on August 18, 1962; he passed away September 16, 1990. Her step-son, Patrick D. Mobley, passed away on January 3, 1991. Surviving is a brother, Donald (Glenda) Summers, and a sister, Mary Ellen Josephson. Also surviving are 7 nieces and nephews, 14 great nieces and nephews, 3 great-great nephews, one aunt, and one uncle. Several relatives on her husband’s side of the family survive. She was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ. Graveside services will be Friday, September 20, 2013 at 10:00 am at Fairfield Cemetery, West Lafayette, with Charles Grubbe officiating.
