

Fred was born on May 28, 1919 in Cleveland to the late Freddrick W. and Anna (Campbell) Workman. He was a graduate of the Coshocton High School Class of 1938. In his early years, he managed at Lake Park Pool and then went on to be the co-owner and operator of Workman’s Restaurant. On June 10, 1951, Fred married Catherine Boyd, who preceded him in death in December of 1995. Fred was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church since 1929. He was also a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose, the Three Rivers Stamp Club, and was the president of the Tri Valley Post Card.
Fred is survived by his children, Robert Workman and Joanne Workman, two grandchildren, Jason Workman and Tom Millin, five great-grandchildren, and two sisters, Ann Lillibridge and Margaret “Ruth” Halpin.
Along with his wife and parents, Fred is preceded in death by his step-daughter, Ella Millin, two sisters, Martha Buker and Frances Workman, and two brothers, Charles Workman and Raymond “Bud” Workman.
Funeral Services will be held at Given-Dawson Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. with a Moose service at the beginning of the service and with Reverend Craig Redecker officiating. Burial will follow at South Lawn Cemetery. Calling hours will be held prior to the funeral service on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
