Garnetta Copenhaver Stevning

She was preceded in death by her husband, John O. Stevning, daughter, Janice K. Stevning, son John E. Stevning and grandson, Andrew B. Stevning-Roe.

She is survived by her daughter, Ann E. Stevning-Roe (Barton), son, James O. Stevning (Kelleigh), daughter, Mary Margaret Morgan (Vincent), son, Daniel R. Stevning (Joan), and daughter, Tish S. Patton.

Garnetta is also survived by her grandchildren: Jason O. Stevning (Shannon), Victor S. Stevning (Jessica), Erin K. Hazelton (Jeffrey), John R. Stevning (Mary), Max M. Morgan (Austin), Thomas C. Stevning-Roe (Lanae), Annie C. Morgan (Brian), Samuel J. D. Stevning, Jacob K. Patton (Katy Grace), Daniel J. Patton, and special granddaughters, Jennifer Kirk (Matt) and Laura Barnes (David); along with eight great-grandchildren: Gabriel, Isabella, James, Hunter, Sawyer, Parker, Sophia, and Rory.

She was a longtime member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Homewood, Alabama. There will be a visitation at the church on Monday, March 30, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm. A Celebration of Life will follow at 3:00 pm. An interment will take place at South Lawn Cemetery in Coshocton, Ohio at a later date.
