

Margaret was born in Dayton, Ohio, on November 7, 1947, to Lawrence and Elenore Coy. She grew up on a farm near Clarksville, Ohio with her parents and her younger sister, Gina (Coy) Schneider.
She attended Adams Township Schools, graduating from Clinton-Masie High School in 1965. She then attended Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, graduating in 1969 with a Degree in Mathematics Education. Margaret taught in Norwood, Ohio and Ridgewood Middle School and Ridgewood High School, retiring in 2000. She was then employed at the Coshocton Public Library System until retiring in 2018.
Music was very important to Margaret. She started at a young age, singing in the choir and in a trio in the Clarksville Methodist Church. In high school, Margaret played saxophone in the band, while also singing in the choir.
In college, Margaret sang in the choir and in an acapella group. As a senior at Miami, she toured Europe with the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra and the Dave Brubeck Trio to perform the world premiere of “A Light in the Wilderness.” Upon moving to West Lafayette, Margaret sang in the West Lafayette United Methodist Church Choir, while also being a member of the Bell Choir and singing in a trio with Kelly Kendall and Sharlynn Smith, with Jane Crow as accompanist. Margaret was also a 24-year member of the Coshocton Community Choir.
She met Richard (Dick) Reveal, her husband of 56 years when they were both freshman in high school. They married in June of 1969, and moved to West Lafayette, Ohio in 1972. Together, they have three sons, Craig (Cherie) Reveal, Jason Reveal (Veena Gopalakrishna) and Kurt (Sara) Reveal; 13 grandchildren, Austyn, Chase (Tiffany), Riley, Jakob, Urban, Ezra, Otis, Luke, Kyle, Blake, Kavi, Jai, and Tejas; several nieces and nephews, and two Aunts, Cherie and Marilyn.
Margaret was an avid supporter of all her children’s and grandchildren’s activities and will be deeply missed by all of those who loved her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, brother-in-law, Bill Schneider, and several aunts and uncles.
Margaret will long be remembered for her devotion to and love for her family and friends. She was an inspiration to family, to students, to friends, to colleagues, library patrons, and acquaintances.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, January 2, 2026, at Given-Dawson-Paisley Funeral Home, Coshocton, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm and again on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at the funeral home from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. A Memorial Service will follow at 11:00 am with Pastor Larry Bobbitt officiating. Burial will be held at Fairfield Cemetery.
