
She was born in Crawford Township in Coshocton County on January 23, 1914, the daughter of the late Valentine and Mabel (Smith) Huprich. She attended school in Chili and Baltic, and was a homemaker throughout her life. Maxine was the oldest and longest active member of Canal Lewisville United Methodist Church, and she enjoyed cooking, baking, and her family and friends. On July 9, 1930, she married Francis Haas, who preceded her in death on August 4, 1981.
She is survived by two sons: Bob Haas (Pat Mapel) of Wills Creek, Ohio, David (Carol) Haas of Lancaster, New Hampshire, her daughter: Carol (Bill) Patterson of Wooster, Ohio; seven grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and eight great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, one brother, and two great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held in Canal Lewisville Cemetery on Wednesday, April 8, 2015, at Noon, officiated by Rev. Don Dolick and Pastor Jeremy Roseberry. A memorial service will be held at Canal Lewisville United Methodist Church on Friday, April 24, 2015, at 11:00am. The family will greet friends after the memorial service.
