

Mike was retired from the military after serving 20 years in the Army, 82nd Airborne Division, being stationed mainly at Fort Bragg, NC. He enjoyed his part time passion, as a partner in a thrift store which he operated with two special friends, John Stubbs and Terry Brock. Mike had a passion for life and a love for people. He was an avid motorcyclist and dog trainer, bringing enjoyment to many with the ability to ride his beloved German Shepherds on his motorcycle.
Mike is survived by four brothers, Kelly Henderson of Beaufort, NC, Kevin Henderson of Goldsboro, NC, Kim Henderson of Knightdale, NC, and Robin Henderson of Raleigh, NC; one sister, Renee Davis of Coshocton, OH; a very special niece, Amber Dawn Harrah of Coshocton, OH; and many other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Thomas Henderson, mother, Blanche Maxine Burkey, and brother, Daniel Babcock.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, June 6, 2014, from 1:00 to 2:00 pm at Given-Dawson Funeral Home. A funeral service will begin at 2:00pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Burial will follow at Plainfield Cemetery with the Coshocton County Veterans Council performing military honors.
