
Mildred Quintilla Bennett, 86, of Coshocton, passed away Tuesday, November 12, 2013. She was born in Bessemer, Alabama on October 1, 1927, to the late Aubrey C. and Myrtis (Gardner) Gill. Mildred and her husband Earl owned Bennett’s Restaurant, and she spent over 20 years working for Fisher Paint. She was a member of The Coshocton Nazarene Church for over 60 years. During her time with the church she held many positions, including Sunday School Teacher, Caravan leader, and Nazarene Missionary Society President. Mildred married Lloyd Earl Bennett of Coshocton, who precedes her in death. She is survived by two sons, Robert “Bud” (Lynnetta) Bennett of Grove City, OH, and David (Janet) Bennett of Reynoldsburg, OH; one daughter, Billie Jo (Mike) Gross of Coshocton; eight grandchildren, Christine Myers, Patty Williams, Amy McClister, Robert A. Bennett, Yvonne Williams, Kay Caton, Erin Kraft, and Jill Bennett; numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and sister, Marsha Canfield, of Black Mountain, NC. The funeral service will take place on Friday, November 15, 2013 at 11:00 am at Coshocton Nazarene Church with Pastor Steve Ward officiating. Burial will follow at South Lawn Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Thursday, November 14, 2013 at Given-Dawson Funeral Home from 5:00-7:00 pm, and one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Nazarene Missions International (NMI), 1058 Orange St., Coshocton, Ohio 43812.
