

Paul W. Armbrust, age 95, of Fresno, passed away at his residence Tuesday, January 20, 2015. He was born in Stonecreek on January 2, 1920, to the late Harry and Goldie (Armbrust) Stalder. Paul was a graduate of Stonecreek High School and The Coshocton Business School.
He was an Army Air Veteran serving in the 68th Army Air Communications Squadron Group as a radio mechanic. He was honorably discharged as a Staff Sergeant following 22 months in the South Pacific. Paul retired as a rural mail carrier after 24 years of faithful service. He was a member of the Coshocton Moose Lodge #935 and the Progressive Valley Grange.
Paul enjoyed dancing, especially square dancing with his wife, camping, hunting and was also known for training dogs to rabbit hunt. On October 25, 1941, Paul married the love of his life, Viola (Everhart) Armbrust with whom he celebrated 73 years of marriage.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Rosetta (Ward) Billhimer of Milford, Gloria (Bill) Hendricks of Vermilion, Yolanda (Sam) McCrea of West Lafayette, and Becky (Phil) Berlean of Canton; one sister, Elsie Johnson of Wooster; 11 grandchildren; 15 great- grandchildren; and six great- great grandchildren. Along with his parents, Paul was preceded in death by one sister.
Funeral services celebrating Paul’s life will be held Tuesday, January 27, 2015, at 2:00 pm at the Given –Dawson Funeral Home with Rev. Sonny Easterday officiating. The family will receive friends from 12-2:00 pm on Tuesday at the funeral home with the Coshocton County Veterans Council performing military services prior to the service.
Private interment will take place at a later date.
