Richard was born on March 20, 1928 to the late Richard Raymond and Margaret (Emig) Rhodes in West Lafayette. Richard was a decent Christian and was a member of the West Lafayette United Methodist Church. He served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany. He worked at Pretty Products for many years before he retired.
Richard is survived by he brother, James Rhodes, two nephews: Mike Bell and Dwain Rhodes; and three nieces: Else Rhodes, Sherry Carney, and Cyndi Rhodes.
Along with his parents, Richard is preceded in death by his sister, Betty Bell, and his nephew, David Bell.
Services will be held at the West Lafayette United Methodist Church on Friday, June 9, 2017 at 12 p.m. Calling hours will be held prior to the funeral services from 11 a.m.- 12 p.m. Burial will follow at Fairfield Cemetery with military honors being performed by the Coshocton County Veterans Council.
