William Atlee Scherrer

William was born in Coshocton on October 15, 1926 to the late William and Dessole (Schuartz) Scherrer. He graduated from Miami University with a degree in mathematics. He was a member of the United States Navy. William also worked at Edmonts for many years. In October of 1976, he married Marilyn Schneeberger. William enjoyed antiques and he travelled extensively throughout his life.

William is survived by his son Matthew (Jo Ellen) Scherrer of Hide-A-Way Hills, his daughter, Andrea Striebech of Xenia, four grandchildren, Justin (Nicole) Scherrer, Corrine (Jacob) Long, Kyle Striebech, and Erin Striebech, and three great-grandchildrem, Lyla Scherrer, and Brayden and Able Striebech.

Along with his parents, William is preceded in death by his daughter Pamela Ann Scherrer.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at Given-Dawson Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Granger officiating. Burial will follow at South Lawn cemetery. Calling hours will be held two hours prior to the service on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
