

David William Raskin, 59, of Newport Beach, California, passed away September 30, 2021. He was born in Laguna Beach, California on October 19, 1961. David graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of California at Irvine, receiving a Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics; he was 1995’s top graduate in the School of Mathematics. He went on to receive his Juris Doctor of Law in 2011 from Whittier Law School.
On August 20, 1995, David married Debra Graham Raskin, who was by his side when he passed.
David served in the United States Marine Corps in the early 1980s. He graduated at the top of his class in Navy and Marine Corps Aviation Electronics Technician School; he earned the rank of Corporal before his Honorable discharge.
His passion for computer programming, electronics, problem-solving, and analytical reasoning led him to a career in information technology (IT), with an emphasis on IT security and computing within the practice of law.
He is survived by his Wife Debra, his mother Ruth Raskin, his sister Laura Graff, brother Joe Raskin, and his nieces & nephews: Tara Graff, Sara Raskin, Hanna Raskin, William Graham, Ella Graham, Alex Graham, Kristina Graham, TJ Tyler, Max Tyler, and Danielle Hunt.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., October 4, 2021, at Harbor Lawn Mt. Olive Memorial Park, 1625 Gisler Avenue, Costa Mesa, CA 92626.
