Marc Allen Takacs

Marc Allen Takacs, 77, passed away Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at his home in Huntington Beach, California. Surrounded by his loved ones. He is survived by his wife Marcia, his two children, Roger and Susan, daughter-in-law Heather, son-in-law Justin and five grandchildren, Tadd, Max, Cali, Jayden and Sawyer. Marc and Marcia’s 54th Anniversary was to be January 12th.

Marc was born on January 17, 1945 in Astoria, New York to Doris and John Takacs. Marc was the eldest of three with two younger sisters, Renee and Jane. At the age of 18, Marc earned his Eagle Scout badge.

Marc lived on the East coast until 1972, when he moved the family to California to continue his career with Max Factor.

Marc was an avid artist, poet and meteorite collector. He was passionate about astronomy and enjoyed watching sports. Tennis being his favorite! Marc was a Cub Scout leader, a soccer coach, a soccer referee and had even umpired professional tennis matches. This led him to inventing a line of handheld scorekeepers for tennis and other sports. Marc ran a successful tax business for over 25 years. He embraced every client that walked through his door! Marc’s warm heart and kind spirit was always felt by those around him!

Marc will be sorely missed by his family and friends! Funeral services are being held on January 3, 2022 at 1:30PM @ Harbor Lawn Mt. Olive Memorial Park & Mortuary. Please join his family in celebrating his life, everyone is welcome!

A chapel visitation and graveside service for Marc will be held Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at 1:30 PM at Harbor Lawn-Mt. Olive Memorial Park & Mortuary, 1625 Gisler Ave, Costa Mesa, California 92626.
