

Margalit Moskowitz, born in Tripoli, Libya, Margalit immigrated to what is now today the State of Israel in 1936 with her parents and older brother. She grew up in a farming community, in a family of 8 children, and would go on to be the personal security guard for Israel’s Prime Minister David Ben Grunion as she served in the Israeli Army. Margalit became a teacher of Language and Farming. She married in 1961 to Hyman Moskowitz and started a family. She moved to California in 1965 with her husband and their young daughter and went on to use her creative energy as a teacher and director of education; helping to build the Jewish community. In 1969, their family increased when she gave birth to a son. She raised both her family and a plethora of students of all ages in Hebrew, Traditions and the love of The People and State of Israel. She lived 92 years on her own terms and is survived by her children Anat and Ron Moskowitz and grandson Alex Moskowitz, and surviving siblings, Chaim, Avram, Joshua and Shoshana. Margalit will forever be remembered by her family and community as a force of optimism, energy and love.

Olive Memorial Park & Mortuary, 1625 Gisler Ave, Costa Mesa, CA 926262201, US, on April 28, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm, followed by a Committal Service at Harbor Lawn-Mt. Olive Memorial Park & Mortuary, 1625 Gisler Ave, Costa Mesa, CA 926262201, US, on April 28, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm.
