Allan Harvey Simard, born on March 28, 1941, in Powell River, British Columbia, passed away on February 8, 2026, at the age of 84. Allan was a resident of Courtenay, British Columbia, and was known for being hard-working, devoted, and kind-hearted.
Allan began his career in the logging business at the young age of 17 and retired at the age of 60. His dedication and work ethic were evident throughout his career.
He leaves to mourn his wife of 55 years, Rollie, and his children, Mike, Paul (Ramona). Allan was a proud grandfather to Nathan (Taylor) and Matthew, and a great-grandfather to Emily. He is also survived by his brothers, Lawrence (Alice), along with many other family members and friends.
Allan had a passion for fishing and enjoyed watching hockey at his friend Mike's "cave," where he spent many enjoyable hours.
Allan Harvey Simard will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
