Bernadette was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Her greatest joy was raising her two sons along with the love of her life, childhood sweetheart Jim Sr at Casawood Farms where they loved, played and worked. Ceramics; gardening; and cooking were a few of her favourite pastimes. She shared a special kindness to all whom had the pleasure of meeting her. Exploring and travelling the world with her love and best friend of 61 years, gave her many stories to share.
Her faith brought her peace when the Lord called upon her. “I have had a full, wonderful life”.
Predeceased by sisters; Janet Holst and Darlene Stacey. Lovingly survived by husband James Sr, sons; Robert (Sharon) Casanave, James Jr (Lisalyn) Casanave. Sisters; Marlene (Bob) Westfield, Doreen Holst. Grandchildren; Stephanie, Jacqueline, Rachael, Dawson and Olivia.
A funeral service will be held Monday December 30th at 11am at Christ the King Catholic Church, Courtenay. Please join us in rememberance by visiting Christ the King Memorial. The service will be recorded.
