Bruce passed away peacefully on November 25, 2025, with family at his side and in his heart. Bruce was born in Cumberland April 3, 1944, and lived his life in Union Bay residing in his family home until his death. He worked most of his life in the building supply industry where he made many long-time friends.
Bruce could often be found at the ball field where he coached, played softball and then slo pitch. He volunteered whenever possible, dedicating 20 years of service to the Union Bay Fire Department, maintaining the field, fundraising and at hall events. He would never turn down and opportunity to go fishing or hunting and always enjoyed mushroom picking and making wine. His green thumb in the garden always provided fresh vegetables for the family and extended family. In later years Bruce was happy to be walking his dogs at the coal hills, meeting many old friends along the way as well as many new ones. He always enjoyed sharing the history of his community with anyone. His most favourite past time of all was being surrounded by his family and loved to just sit and take it all in.
Bruce was Predeceased by his Father John Frame Campbell (1965), Mother Margaret Rita (McIntyre) Campbell (1961), Brother Douglas John Campbell (1958). He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years Trish Campbell, children Daryl (Rhonda), Robin, Margaret, Doug (Maria), Angie (Trevor), 8 Grandchildren and 8 Great-Grandchildren.
Bruce will always be remembered as a kind and loving soul and will be greatly missed by many.
