Donna is survived by her husband, Blake; daughter Lori Walton (Ian) and son Steven Walton; granddaughters Sydney Doberstein Larock (Fraser), Taylor Doberstein (Miles), and Montana Van Velzen; brother Harvey Prescott (Carol) and niece Sarah Stirling (Kyle). Donna was predeceased by her parents Desmond and Edna Prescott.
Donna was born in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, before moving at a young age to West Vancouver, British Columbia. She graduated from West Van High School – where she met Blake – courageously asking him on a first date to her graduation ceremony.
Donna and Blake married on June 3, 1961, and bought their first home in North Vancouver, before moving to Victoria, then Port Coquitlam, finally settling in the Comox Valley in 1976.
Spending endless hours watching tennis with her husband was something Donna loved – recalling her time spent at Indian Wells as some of her favourite moments. She also enjoyed sewing, knitting and playing bridge and rummoli with her group of very close friends.
Donna loved her dogs and was thrilled to be joined by little Chevy on her final day.
Family was most important to Donna, with her granddaughters bringing her all the joy and laughter a grandmother could ask for.
The family would like to sincerely thank Dr. Dawadi, Dr. Gee, Dr. Reggler, Donna's hospital nurses, and a special thanks to Dr. Sage for easing them through this very difficult time.
Donna’s love, friendship and giggle fits will be missed by all those who knew her.
