He was predeceased in January, 2025 by his wife, Dorothea of 70 years, and his great-grandson Ethan. Geoff is survived by his three children; Chris (Lisa), Colin (Jocelyne), Glynnis (Joe), two grandchildren; Rylan, Tanner (Jenny), and great-granddaughter, Sierra. Geoffrey immigrated with Dorothea in 1955 to Canada, settling in Alberta and raising their three children. He worked in autobody and then as a high school teacher. He retired as a teacher to run his own antique and classic car restoration business.
He was an avid cyclist, shortlisted for the 1952 Olympics and continued riding and competing into his late 80’s. Geoff and Dorothea made the move to Comox in 2014 where they made wonderful friends. The family wishes to thank Dr. Bostrom, Dr. Howard and the wonderful staff at Ocean Front Village. We would also like to thank Alex and Irene Urquhart and their family that became fantastic friends during our parents' time at Ocean Front Village.
A special thank you to friend Betty Berreth who visited often and was a great support.
