February 04, 2026 at Ocean Front Village. Jean immigrated from the Isle of Portland, Dorset England with her then husband Richard Packham in 1960 to Gimili, Manitoba. In 1964 they moved to Courtenay with their two sons, Colin and Nigel. Jeans happy place was her large garden in her backyard, she was also very talented at needlepoint, cross stitch and making dolls. Jean was a regular at the craft fairs and volunteered for years at the local historical society. Jean was quite well known in the valley as she was quite outspoken and loved to talk to strangers.
