Born in Vancouver, BC, Lesley grew up throughout Canada and Europe on various Air Force bases. This may have sparked her passion for travelling to different parts of the world.
Lesley married her high school sweetheart, Dave Kemp, and they eventually settled in Richmond, BC. It was there that she trained to become a library technician, and worked at local libraries until her retirement. She especially enjoyed her weekly children’s story times.
Reunited with parents Wilfred and Bette Hoskins, Lesley is survived by husband Dave, children Shannon and Nick (Lisa), grandchildren Anne, Sam, and Claire, siblings Beth (Randy) and David (Karen). She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to the staff at Hummingbird House for their exceptional love and care for Lesley.
A celebration of life will be held at a future time. In lieu of flowers, please donate in her memory to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
