1926 - 2011
Mary-Jane died May 26th, 2011 after a struggle with pancreatic cancer. She was born March 14, 1926 to Greba and Allan Peters in Strasbourg, Saskatchewan - the eldest of three children.
In 1944 she attended the University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon for 4 years and after one year of teaching she and Harry were married. They had two children, Patricia Ann and Michael Allan. As Harry was employed by the C.P.R. in their engineering department, they were transferred many times from province to province. In 1980 they retired and settled in Comox, BC.
Mary-Jane was pre-deceased by her parents and in 1990 her daughter Patricia Ann. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, her son Michael of Nanaimo, her sister B.J. Gustafson of Comox and her Brother Jim Peters of Port Dover, Ontario, plus 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Cremation. No services at her request. Flowers gratefully declined.
