Michael rarely complained. He took the curve balls of life and rolled with them. His favourite escapes were his adventures into the worlds of fantasy and science fiction. He signed his name with a question mark as a homage to "Dr. Who?". A model TARDIS rested on the shelf and the Doctor's Scarf was a prized possession.
His Star Trek Communicator let everyone know he was Trekkie. Posters, magazines, clothing, models, and a membership card spoke of Captain Mike's devotion.
Star Wars memorabilia was strewn around his apartment - a collection of light sabers, models, action figures, collector cards, and the Millennium Falcon flying from the ceiling.
To say that Mike was a movie buff was an understatement. His collection of DVDs was extensive and included the entire Dr. Who series, most of the TV series of Star Trek, all the Star Trek movies, ALL the Star Wars movies as well as the TV spin offs. He had numerous other DVDs as well!
He loved his computer and spent more than his fair share of time in front of the screen. He loved gaming and World of War Craft was his primary choice.
Michael will be missed by his work colleagues at the Husky Service Station, the many customers he served and interacted with, and mostly by Phyllis (his sister) and Albert.
