I’m think this photo was taken the time I got to go meet Nevada’s dad when she was staying with him. I got to visit her school where she may have been the only red head.

First photo I dug put and my heart was happy and sad all at once. The smile and the energy she radiated was so contagious.

I   cannot forget  the impish little  redhead  who lived just two doors down and was in and out of my yard from 1991 to1996.  Funny, creative, outrageous, mischevious, sensitive, and  always up to something, Nevada led the  neighbourhood kids and  it was never boring.  My own  daughter was fascinated by Nevada, and compared her to Pippi Longstocking. Sometimes naughty,  but never dull and always coming around to good will.  When Nevada was sad there was a dark cloud over the whole block, and when she was happy the sun shone bright.  She could drive me crazy but I could never stay  mad.   

I loved that child, and  missed her when we moved.  She had a big, wild spirit and I'm not sure that the world was ready to receive it with all that she needed.    It breaks my heart  that she  is lost, that life was hard, and that the dancing light of her spirit has left this earth.  

My deep condolences to Michelle, Jim, her children, and  the entire circle of those who loved her.     

Let  us not give up on a world  that is not only  beautiful enough, but also  kind enough  to  see our children thrive and become their fullest selves,  nurture and teach the young, then grow old in wisdom, and love.  A world worthy of that red-headed sprite  down the street.

I had the great privilege of being present when Nevada was born.
This new broke my heart.
I pray that her strong spirit with be at peace and she will find the joy she deserves. God grant those left behind for now the strength to carry on until they are reunited.

Nevada popped into my mind a couple of weeks ago, I was wondering how she was. She was one of my first friends when I moved to Cumberland and I started working at the Waverley - she really took me under her wing there. She was a kind soul and such a talented beautiful woman, a very good friend to me. She had an amazing talent not for just cooking, but her musical skills. I remember her wailing on my guitar in my kitchen and singing with her humbling raw and gorgeous voice often. She loved her kids, we'd make blanket forts with her youngest and watch movies all day. When she went down that road, I prayed to the universe for her to get out - and perhaps she has and in a way and found peace. RIP Nevada Lambert you were very loved. My condolences.

From Grade 2 when I moved to Cumberland till I had my first child at 30, Nevada has been one of my dearest friends. We were attached at the hip when we were younger. Playing the tree fort, roaming Cumberland on our little adventures, listening to her brother play guitar, watching her mom play backgammon on the back porch and so much more. I really thought of her moms home as my other home because it felt like I walked over there every day. She was always a free spirit, full of music and beauty. There are many many old photos tucked away and when I can handle digging then I I will share some here. I know she also spent some time getting to know my sitter Brittany, before Britt passed as well. So I hope that Britt is there to welcome her and hold her and they can watch, guide and protect all of their children together.

I met Nevada when she was 5, which was  when I met her Dad. 

Nevada was a smart, spunky, funny, creative kid and and became an accomplished woman who excelled in her cooking career  and most importantly was a loving and caring Mom to Braden and Annabelle.

Nevada loved cooking good food, art, music, gardens/flowers, trees, nature, reading and life! 

I will remember her as that beautiful, smart, hilarious but sensitive girl who noticed everything around her. She called the Katsura trees in the autumn "the glowing trees", we both loved them but didn't know what kind of tree they were. I always think of her when I see one. 

Thank you to all the good people and old pals who have cared for Nevada all these years and shown her  kindness. It means so much to us all.

So many good memories with you ❤️ hope you are finally at peace and singing your heart out up there 🎵

I remember you used to come get me on the quad and we’d drive into the woods and hang out and drink a couple luckys in the bush.  Then we’d go play Texas hold em, you loved playing poker. 
We were hosting the jam at that time and knew you were shy to sing, but we always encourage you to get up at the jam.  It was cool to watch you get more confident and sing more often. 
We went our seperate ways but still called each other for a few years at Christmas time.   I moved to Alberta and lost touch but I always thought you were cool and was sad to hear you’d been deep into addictions.. I’m glad I have the OG memories of you that I have.  RIP

So very sad to hear this news of Navada, 
I remember her from when she was young, she was such a sweetheart.
