Richard "Rick" Bedard

Rick was born in Kitchener, ON to parents Helen Hallett and Carl Bedard on February 14, 1966. He was the oldest of his 6 siblings. He has spent his younger years living in Whitehorse, YK and various other locations in BC.

Rick was an amazingly compassionate and caring man and will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He was always able to make friends wherever he went and could hold engaging conversations for hours. He was extremely passionate about music and would always be seen with one guitar or another. He also was dedicated to his family and was a great support who would do anything for his family.

Rick is predeceased by his parents, Helen and Carl, and his best friend Larry. He is survived by his siblings, Keri, Kelly, Penny, Corey, and Jolene, his daughter, Samantha, and his granddaughter Bella, with another granddaughter on the way.

A memorial service will be held by Rick's family on March 24, 2024 at noon located at the Simms Park in Courtney. Food and drinks will be provided along with spreading of Rick's ashes and short jam session in Rick's memory.

The family asks for no gifts at this time but suggests donations to local charities that assist with homelessness and addictions.
