

Viola, known as Vi, was born in Bedford, Nova Scotia on November 18, 1934.
Vi was raised by Andrew and Annie Wilson in Halifax, NS. She served as a Teletype Operator in the RCAF from about age 18 to 20. She enjoyed crafts such as sewing, paper toll, and cross stitch and made many items for other people. Vi worked in various jobs in different locations including the Physician’s Business Office at the Health Sciences Center in Winnipeg, MB, and Timex in Toronto, ON. She enjoyed curling and was president of the curling club in Greenwood, NS.
She married Ernest Bauchman in 1984. Vi and Ernie had a trailer in Winnipeg Beach and enjoyed numerous weekends and summers at the lake. They relocated to Comox after Ernie’s retirement from the Air Force and had resided in the valley for the past 30 years.
Vi was a people person who loved to enjoy herself with friends. She especially loved traveling- in particular to see her daughter and grandchildren in the USA. She will be missed by her friends and family. Vi will be known by many as the life of the party, and a real people person.
Vi was predeceased by her husband Earnest J Bauchman, her sister Gloria, and her brother William.
She is survived by her daughter Heather Lynne Killeen, her husband Michael F Killeen and their children Amanda, Kelsey, Shayne, Brady, Connor, Logan of St. George, UT. Vi is survived by Ernest’s children Kathy and Kevin of Winnipeg, MB, and Kris of Campbell River, BC.
A Celebration of Life will be held on June 22nd, 2023, at the Comox Valley Seniors Village (4640 Headquarters Rd, Courtenay) at 1:00 pm in the theater room.
