Wayne was raised on a float camp and did his school work by correspondence. He began working in the logging industry at the age of 17. Wayne was a log truck driver then moved to the dry land sort in Gold River. Upon retirement, he trained as a Security Guard with Commissionaires and began his career in local hospitals then on the gate at the Airbase.
Wayne is predeceased by his mother Joyce and his step dad Fred Harnden as well as his infant son Christopher. He is survived by his wife June, his daughters Asia, Sandra (Sean) Laura, and Kelly (Terry). He will be missed by his friend Dave, his brothers Don (Val) Gerry, and many nieces and nephews as well as his beloved grandchildren.
Wayne was a brilliant crafter and could turn his hand to many things. He painted, did woodworking, stained glass, card making, and made many items with his 3D printer. He was generous with the products he made and gave most items away.
A Celebration of Life will be held on his birthday weekend on May 16th at Kitty Coleman Park.
Rest in Peace my love..
