He was born on November 18, 1937 in St. Boniface, Manitoba to Edmund & Sarah Wright. The family moved to the Comox Valley in the 1940s and Courtenay remained his home for his lifetime.
Predeceased by his parents, sister Doreen Anderson, son-in-law David Reid. Bob is survived by his wife, Jacquie, daughters Trish Reid and Kelly Wright from his first wife, Joan Wright, grandchildren Jennifer, Erin, James (Pat), Sandy (Christine), Shannon (Dan), Cody (Al), many great grandchildren and a great great grandson! He is also survived by many nieces, a nephew, and a great nephew all of whom were a big part of his life in his earlier years.
He loved the outdoors and earned a living as a Faller starting at a very young age as a Chokerman for Comox Logging. After retiring at the age of 60, he enjoyed his life filled with gardening, fishing, hunting, skiing and spending time with family. Bob was passionate about conservation and belonged to the local Fish & Game Club, Ducks Unlimited, and the Comox Valley Flyfishers’ Club. Bob loved going to local hockey games whether it be the Glacier Kings or watching his grandchildrens’ and great grandchildrens’ hockey games.
Bob had many adventures in his life (some stories we have probably not heard) that left us with laughter. He made friends easily and for life and was always eager to lend a helping hand and volunteered his talents gladly. More than likely he is having coffee with his buddies who passed before him and is planning his next fishing or hunting trip.
A special thank you to Linda & Pete, Rick, Lyall, and Cam for all the rides and help. No service by request but please gather and toast to him at your next barbecue or fishing trip. There will be a private family gathering at a later date.
We will miss you so much!
Rest in Peace Bob Wright

Courage to change the things I can and
