OBITUARIO
Betty Jean Adair
27 octubre , 1928 – 5 enero , 2021
It is with great sadness the family of Betty Jean Adair announces her passing on January 5, 2021, at Lakeridge Hospital, Oshawa at the age of 92. Jean was married to the love of her life the late John Adair. Loving mother to Tom (Heather), Janice (Blair) and John (Beverly). Jean was a proud grandmother to Lisa, Lori, Matthew, Aaron, Morgan, Mark, Megan, Kyle, John Michael and Trevor. She was also an adored great grandmother to Kyle, Lauryn, Ryan, Owen, Taylor, Liam, Rachel, Olivia, Harper, Hudson and Kinsley. As well as being a daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother Jean was a nurse having graduated from Oshawa General Hospital in 1950 and retired in 1982. Jean enjoyed being at the cottage in the Kawarthas with John and having her family there. The campfires ended quickly because of the mosquitos that left John the last man standing. Jean made great apple pies with a slice of cheese. She enjoyed making quilts, reading, knitting, puzzles and her church coffee group. Jean and John travelled to various places the Yukon and Alaska being their favourites. The latter part of her life was valiant struggle with dementia that robbed her of people places, time and memories. What a beautiful lesson she taught us of perseverance. Mom our memory is a keepsake of you from which we will never part. Due to Covid cremation has taken place and there will be no service at this time. Memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society or Children Wish Foundation would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to COURTICE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 1587 Highway #2, Courtice (905-432-8484).

I came to Oshawa General as a very green new graduate in 1968 and was so fortunate to work with Jean. She was so helpful and encouraging. Although so many years have passed I have memories of Jean as such a warm and friendly person.

My sincerest sympathy to Jean's family.
As another RN and sister-in-law of Marjorie (Glover) Scott (Class of 1950), I knew Jean in those hectic days of nursing training and beyond.
She will be sorely missed by her family and all who knew her as a kind and caring woman who brought such comfort to the whole community.
With condolences

I went to High School in Whitby with your Mother and when I joined Kedron Church, we were re-united and had nice times remembering our mutual school chums.
