Grieve if you will, but not for long upon my soul's sweet flight.

I am at peace; my soul's at rest there is no need for tears.

For with your love I was so blessed for all those many years.

There is no pain; I suffer not, the fear now all is gone.

Put now these things out of your thoughts, in your memory I live on.

Remember not my fight for breath, remember not the strife.

Please do not dwell upon my death, but celebrate my life.

BARRETT, Christopher Douglas - It is with great sadness we announce CHRISTOPHER DOUGLAS BARRETT has passed away at the age of 62 after a courageous struggle with illness. In his career he served as a member of the RCMP, a lawyer, a Fort Henry Guard, and an active member of 172 Air Cadet division. He will be missed by all who loved him and the many lives he touched. Resting at the Courtice Funeral Chapel, 1587 Highway #2, Courtice, ON (905-432-8484) where a Service of Remembrance will be held on Saturday December 13, 2014 at 11:00 AM. Christopher’s family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Flowers are gratefully declined, donations would be appreciated to St. Michaels Foundation – Cardiac Care, Princess Margaret Hospital – Physio Department (Ninjas).
