I moved across the street from Gary and Susan with my then 3 year old daughter, Hayley. Admittedly, I did not know much about how to use a lawn mower. Gary saw me struggle and came over to help me out.  Hayley and I became friends with Gary and Susan after that. Sometimes when Gary wanted a good excuse to get an ice cream him and Susan would knock on the door to bring Hayley along. I could always count on him being on the porch when I finished work and offering a beer and a lot of laughs. His friendship to me was so appreciated especially during a time when I really needed a friend like that. Thank you Gary for all the time, the chats, the beers, and the laughs but especially the love you had for Hayley. 

Gary, I didn't think you would be leaving us so suddenly.  We've had our ups and downs, but mainly lots and lots of good times.  It's these good times I will always remember.  Love ya!

Although I only used to see you when we were over in Canada and vice versa, I have lots of funny memories of you, like the way you used to call me “Weezy” instead of Louise! You had a huge personality and always made me laugh! You’ll be greatly missed but you will live on in stories shared forever. RIP Uncle Gary xxx

Gary you were taken from us way too soon. As I reflect, this makes me realise even more that we should live for the moment as tomorrow is not guaranteed. You were so brave and courageous to the end. I just learned the news of Gary's passing. I was so shocked and saddened to hear the news. I worked with Gary briefly delivering in Courtice, and he was an amazing addition to the team.

Gary always had a smile and nice word to say, but never sugar coated anything. He was an honest, upstanding, trustworthy co-worker turned friend. I miss his infectious laughter and smile that would brighten up a room.

I will always remember my father-in-law as having endless amounts of energy and never being able to sit still.

I was very fortunate when I married Nicky because I gained another friend for guidance and support.  He treated me as a son and was always up for a trip to the "office" for a chat.  He nicknamed me "Luke the Duke" - a name that I've never been able to escape from.

When Nicky and I purchased our first home, he taught us many skills ranging from tiling to painting.

Your memories will live forever.  You will be greatly missed.

I was so sad to hear of Gary’s passing. We had so many laughs at Euchre.  Missed him there a lot in the pass few months. My favourite memory is on Sunday night after Scott’s announcements at cards he would say Gary and then Gary would  pipe out Respect Respect Respect.  Prayers to Sue and the family. RIP my friend.
