Mary Douglas

A truly wonderful, loving, gentle woman passed away on Friday, February 10, 2017. Predeceased by her beloved husband Edward John Douglas. Mary is survived by her loving daughter Deborah Mary Sirko and her husband Nick. Cherished grandmother of Michael Edward Sirko (Jenna) and Kevin Nicholas Sirko (Barbara), and great grandmother of Declan Michael Sirko. Dear sister of Jesse Shewring, and predeceased by her siblings Pearl Popowich, Alex, Bill, Anne Buldyke, Helen Pawlowsky and Victoria Jenkinson. Mary was a hairdresser and the owner of Bobette Beauty Salon in Bowmanville for over 25 years. She will be remembered for her enthusiasm for the game of golf at the Oshawa Golf and Country Club; she enjoyed country music and dancing at many seniors clubs in Durham Region. She will be fondly remembered by all her McDonald’s Friends.

Visitation will be at the COURTICE FUNERAL CHAPEL 1587 Highway 2, Courtice (905-432-8484) on Friday, February 17th, 2017 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm., and on Saturday from 10:00 am until time of “Life Well Celebrated” service in the chapel at 11:00 am.
