To the Lopeman family, I am so very sorry for your loss. I met your Mom when I was only 5 years old and only got to see her in the summers as I lived in Arkansas. My Grandparents Jesse and Effie Baker lived across the street. I remember your Mom and Dad so vividly. They were so sweet, kind and so real. They always opened their door to me to play with Bernadette (my non family twin).  They even trusted my grandparents to bring her to Arkansas to visit me. They gave me very fond childhood memories that will forever be embedded in my heart and mind. My heart is breaking for you all. She was a wonderful woman. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Rest in peace Nanny. You will be forever missed and always loved. Anastasia and I are lucky to call ourselves your grandchildren.

I'll miss you Nanny. Even though we lived far from each other, you've always supported me in everything I did. Thank you for everything you've done for my brother and I. I love you with all my heart and I pray that God takes care of you and Granddad in Heaven. Rest in peace.

Mum,
I still can not accept that fact that you are gone. However, I know that you are in Heaven finally walking hand in hand with Dad. I know that you missed him every waking hour of every day since he left this life a decade ago. You two had a tremendous and precious bond. You cared for each other with unsurpassed loyalty and trust. Even though this is extremely sad, I find great joy in knowing that you have finally reunited with your soulmate and the one true love of your life! I cannot begin to thank you for all that you did for all of us. You sacrificed an enormous amount and when without, just to make a better life for all of your children and all of their children. Although we never had a lot in life, you were always generous with your time, your patience, your compassion and most of all your love. You treated everyone you encountered with respect, dignity and showed a tremendous amount of class in everything that you did. You always saw the best in people no matter how terrible they were. No Mother could ever match the traits of the VERY, VERY SPECIAL person that you were and are. I am so very proud to have had the honor of calling you Mom. I will miss you every day for as long as I walk the face of this earth. Thank you for your patience, your understanding, your guidance, your integrity, your kindness, your grace and your humbleness. I never met anyone that was as honest, genuine, moral, decent, and virtuous as you. You are a true Saint in every respect of the word. Although I feel that I never lived up to my true potential, I am blessed to have you as my Mum and I am the man I am today because of you. I could not love a Mother more than I do you. The amount of respect that I have for you is immeasurable. I will never forget the lesson of life that you taught me and I try to live my life in your shadow. God created a real good one in you. I remember the plaque we had hanging on our wall with the old Irish saying; "May you be in Heaven a half an hour before the Devil knows your dead". The Devil never had a chance with you. God had your wings waiting for you and there shines a very bright light up there now. A light that will NEVER go out. Although my heart is a little more empty and broken now, I know you are in a better place. We were all very lucky to have known you. God bless you Mom. May You Rest in Peace for all of eternity!
