Angelle began her life as a fighter weighing 3lbs 4oz. The doctors predicted it would be unlikely she would survive her first year. But wow! She proved everyone wrong with her determination and will to live. Angelle fought in triumph through numerous surgeries, medical procedures and illnesses. She defeated impossible odds. Angelle gave us so much joy and love. She has always been a true angel living among us and now Angelle is our angel in Heaven. She gave the best hugs, had a contagious laugh and a beautiful smile.
Angelle has been an inspiration to so many people in her 18 years of life. She kept medical professionals on their toes and didn’t follow the “norm”. It was always on her terms. She taught family and friends about unconditional love! She fought until the bitter end and will be extremely missed.
Angelle’s life was made more enjoyable by the love and devotion of her caregivers; Sandra Bickham Patterson, Katherine Murillo and Sharon Cushing. Also, a special thanks to all who have loved and supported us throughout her journey. We really appreciate all the prayers and beautiful words of comfort and love. We were truly blessed to have such wonderful care over the years by her pediatrician, specialists at Children’s Hospital and especially the last few weeks, the 6th floor PICU at Children’s Hospital. We had such caring and loving doctors, nurses and respiratory therapists that were there for Angelle and us till the very end.
