Brent Curtis Wall, 78, of Covington, LA, passed away peacefully on the morning of January 13, 2025, surrounded by his family. Services are scheduled for 10:00 am on Thursday, January 23, 2025 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, 125 East 19th Avenue, Covington, LA 70433. Family interment will be held at Calvary Cemetery in Kansas City, Missouri, at a later date.
Brent was born on August 14, 1947, to Joseph and Billie Neva Wall in Roswell, New Mexico, before the family moved several times during his childhood, including to Oregon, North Dakota and Arkansas. He was a true patriot, a man of deep faith, and a conservative Republican who served with distinction in the United States Navy from 1968 to 1972. He was stationed in San Diego, California when he met his wife of 54 years, Catherine Shine Wall, and they married before he reported to Naval Station Norfolk, as part of the pre-commissioning team for the U.S.S. Edenton during its construction in Virginia Beach, VA, in 1970-197, where Eric was born.
After his service, he returned to college and received a BS Degree in Business from the University of Arkansas. He was ahead of his time, working in computer sales in the 1970’s and 80’s. He was the best wherever he went in a highly competitive industry, holding positions with Diebold, Agency Records Control, NCL , Security Technologies, and Siemens. He retired as a Regional Manager with Siemens and then formed his own company. He always had a new idea he was working on, or a great story to tell, and he will be sorely missed.
Brent is survived by his wife Catherine Shine Wall, and his son, Eric Lee Wall. He was predeceased by his son, Mark Brendan Wall in 2016; his parents, Joseph Curtis Wall and Billie Neva Wall; and his brother, Craig Lee Wall in 2009. He shared his life with many nieces and nephews living in Florida, Virginia, Arkansas, Texas, California, and Louisiana.
The family greatly appreciates the excellent care Brent was given by the nurses, the doctors and the Hospice team at St Tammany Hospital in Covington, LA.
