Charles Edward McFerren was the eighth child born to Leonard McFerren and Pearl Russel McFerren in Shreveport, LA, June 2, 1938. He died on September 10, 2023. He has been reborn into everlasting life because of the saving grace of our Lord Jesus Christ.
He is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and four sisters.
Charles served in the U.S. Army from 1961 – 1965, attaining a rank of Specialist 6. He worked for the Texas Pacific Railroad, Missouri Pacific Railroad and Union Pacific Railroad for a total of 32 years retiring in 1988. Mr. McFerren was a volunteer at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church and Lakeview Regional Hospital and was active with many senior clubs in the Mandeville area.
Friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 501 Holy Trinity Drive, Covington, LA 70433 on Friday, September 22, 2023 at 11:00 am with visitation at the church beginning at 10:30 am. A repast will follow the funeral. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, Charles requests donations be sent to Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
