

Cherie Dychtwald Orillion, age 56, of Covington, LA passed away on Sunday, September 29, 2024, unexpectedly following an accident at her home. She was born on December 30, 1967 in New Orleans, LA to Michael J. and Bonnie Ann (Lopez) Orillion.
Cherie is survived by her beloved wife, Pam G. Dychtwald and her father “Mike” Orillion. She is also survived by her brother, Michael (Jennifer) nieces: Abby and Katie Orillion, Grace Ferguson and twelve furry pets.
Cherie is preceded in death by her mother Bonnie.
Cherie loved life more than the history of the events it took for her to get there. She attended St. Matthew the Apostle School, graduated from Archbishop Chapelle High school, and earned her bachelor’s degree from Tulane University. She worked in IT, formerly at STPH and last at CGB.
Cherie cherished people, lived life to the fullest and wanted everyone to love one another. She made friends everywhere and lit up each room with her energy. She always sought peace and harmony among all. Cherie wanted people to love one another and practice the motto “One Love”. She was genuine, funny, caring, honest, passionate, guided young adults, giving and all around handy. Fishing, spending time at the beach, snuggling with her pets and loving her wife were her all time joys.
Family, friends, relatives, chosen family and co-workers are invited to gather to celebrate Cherie’s life at Grace Funeral Home, 450 Holy Trinity Drive, Covington, LA 70433 on Saturday, October 12, 2024 from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM. Words of Remembrance will be shared at 1:00 PM.
