Dorise Gean Johnson

Dorise is survived by her children John Johnson (Diane), Gregory Johnson (Lisa), Elizabeth Dean (Melvin), Mary Ann LaForge (Mike), and Jeannie Hardouin (Larry); and twelve grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

Dorise is preceded in death by her husband, John A. Johnson, Jr., her parents, and her siblings Leon Rachal, Jr. and Louise Hotard.

Gean was a member of the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary and NARFE. She was also a playground softball and basketball coach in her community. Gean enjoyed ceramics and painting; had a love for animals and was an excellent seamstress, specializing in wedding dresses and leisure suits. Above all, Gean enjoyed travelling and spending time with her children and their spouses.

Memorial services will be held privately. Interment will take place in St. Patrick Cemetery No.1, New Orleans, LA.
