Preceded in glory by parents Alfred J. Muller, Jr. and Hazel Champagne Muller, his brother Kenneth (Jackie), and brother-in-law Joe Adams. Awaiting heavenly reunion with his sister Suzanne Adams, and brothers Clifford Muller (Susan) and Gerard Muller (Becky).
Born in New Orleans on August 20, 1952, raised in Bucktown, Doug attended St. Louis King of France Elementary, St. Aloysius High School (Brother Martin), University of Southwestern Louisiana (BSBA).
After college, he worked briefly for Walgreens, Co. and then to Jahncke Services handling inside and outside sales of building materials. He later moved on with American Manufacturing outside sales for Louisiana and Arkansas territory for Sans Souci Lingerie. Following the buyout of American, Doug worked for the next twelve years of his career managing Burger King restaurants, and then spent three years with Union National Life Insurance. Before his retirement, he spent twenty years at Jefferson Battery Co, working with his brothers Cliff and Jerry.
Doug was most noted for bringing the family together, cooking and hosting large family and friend gatherings with amazing recipes and lots of love and laughter. He freely gave advice and unconditional love to his children and grandchildren; teaching them to swim, Cub Scout camping, and Home Depot craft days were among favorite activities. Ever thankful for the opportunity to encourage and build character, sportsmanship, and integrity in their young lives.
Most importantly, having been blessed for twenty years being married to the most remarkable woman, Patti. Proverbs 31 best describes her as the good woman more precious than rubies and of all women she excels them all.
Through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit here on Earth, Doug now in paradise, communes with the Saints of the universal church. Having had the imperfections of his humanity covered by the shed blood of Yeshua (Jesus) he awaits the resurrection of all the elect of Adonai (lord Creator of the Universe) and the everlasting life of a New Heaven and New Earth promised in Revelations 21 and 22.
