Edward Joseph Bourgeois Jr.

Edward “Eddie” Joseph Bourgeois, Jr., age 57, of Mandeville, LA passed away on January 22, 2025. He was born on October 18, 1967, in New Orleans, LA to Edward Joseph Bourgeois, Sr. and Jessie Martinez Bourgeois.

Eddie is survived by his beloved wife Johanna Solnitzky Bourgeois, and his loving children Jordan Joseph and Jessica Glee Bourgeois (fiancé Samuel Crowton). He is also survived by siblings Lisa Firmin-Schroeder (Mary), Craig Bourgeois (Cathy), Sheree Knauth (Darin), Joy Tregle (Keith) and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Eddie is preceded in death by his parents Edward and Jessie Bourgeois.

Eddie grew up in Metairie and was a graduate of East Jefferson High School. He was a former paramedic and firefighter for St. Tammany Fire District 4. Later, he became a small business owner. Eddie enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and riding his motorcycles. He had a passion for Rock and Blues music and was an amateur guitarist. Additionally, he loved muscle cars and hunting. Eddie will forever be remembered for his crazy sense of humor, outgoing personality, and positive outlook. Always the jokester, he never met a stranger and was a friend to all.

A visitation for Eddie will be held Friday, February 7, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Grace Funeral Home, 450 Holy Trinity Dr., Covington, LA 70433, followed by a Celebration of Life at 1:00 PM.
