She is also survived by her foster parents, Dennis and Karen Beavers; her siblings, Cindy Hamilton (Tim), Pattie Thomas (Walter), Joe Harris (Gisela), Roxanne Witt (Bob), Ramona Thorgren, and Marie Fisher (Darren).
Jana Heinold is preceded in death by her parents, Barbara and Bobby Harris; and her brother-in-law, Robert Thorgren (Ramona).
After the death of her mother, when Jana was nine years old, her and her six siblings were placed in a children’s home in Kouts, IN. Dennis and Karen Beavers, who worked at the children’s home, took Jana and her siblings into their own care and raised them as their own for all their upbringing. Jana attended Kouts Elementary, and Junior and Senior Highschool. Jana grew up in a happy and healthy home where she learned Christian values and accepted Jesus Christ.
Jana spent most of her working life caring for others. Her first job was as an aid in a nursing home where she touched many lives including her patients and her coworkers. She later worked as a dental assistant and office manager. In her later years, she finished her career working in home healthcare. She loved to care for others and had a servant’s heart.
On October 15th, 1994, Jana married the love of her life, Vic Heinold in Las Vegas, Nevada at the Little White Chapel. Together they had a beautiful daughter, Madisyn Sue. They lived as a family in Kouts, Indiana where they were active at Kout’s Christian Church. Jana was a Sunday school teacher. They all worked together on their hobby farm, and Madisyn and the grandchildren were heavily involved in 4-H livestock. They left Indiana in 2007 and moved to Covington, Louisiana. Jana and Vic lived in Covington until Madisyn graduated high school. In 2014, Jana and Vic moved to North Port, Florida where they enjoyed the beach, baseball games, and found their church family at Peace Christian Fellowship. As empty nesters, their love for each other grew. They survived Covid, multiple hurricanes, and Jana beat a year long horrible battle with breast cancer on June 17th, 2024. Shortly after, Jana, more than deservingly, decided to visit family back in Covington to celebrate this remarkable journey and achievement. This celebration was marked short after she was hospitalized with Pneumonia. Days after Jana was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. It progressed very quickly and three days later Jesus called her home. “No more sorrow, no more pain.”
Jana leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and faith. She will be remembered for her selfless love for others, passion for her family, and her giving heart. She was the definition of being absolutely beautiful, inside and out. Jana always wanted everyone to be happy and would do anything in her power to do that.
