Jeanne Gremillion Taranto, age 73, of Madisonville, LA passed away on February 24, 2025. She was born on November 10, 1951, in New Orleans, LA to the late Odell Anthony and Reginald (McNulty) Gremillion.
She leaves behind her beloved husband of 54 years, John J. Taranto, Jr.; her daughters Lisa Mocklin (David), Shelly Vincens (Doug), and Christina Stipe (the late Bubba); and her grandchildren Anthony, Sydney, Jeremy, Owen, Hayden, Nathan, Fallon, and Meghan. She is also survived by her siblings Stephen (Joan), Ricky, David (Tammy), and Nancy, along with extended family and friends.
Jeanne is preceded in death by her sister Susan and her brother Lloyd.
Jeanne graduated from the Academy of the Holy Angels in 1969. She was a devoted mother to her 3 daughters, and later worked as a medical billing and insurance specialist. She enjoyed traveling, family beach trips, cooking and baking, but her greatest joy was caring for and spending time with her 8 grandchildren. She never missed a ball game, dance recital, cheer event, or gymnastics meet.
Services will be held privately at a later date.
Burial will take place in St. Lazarus of Bethany Memorial Garden.
