Jeffery Paul Day, age 60, passed away on Friday, January 15, 2026. He was born on July 18, 1965, in Jackson, Mississippi, to Bob Day and Jeanne Humphries Day.

Jeff is survived by his wife Julie Day, and stepchildren Hailey Gross (Aaron) and Christian Boutwell (Callie). He is also survived by his brother Reid Day (Dawn), sister Belinda Day Owenby (Ken), nieces Rebecca Day and Heather Day, nephews Paul Day and Chris Day, as well as numerous friends and family members.

Jeff is preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Jeanne, and his brother Emmett Day.

Jeff, a generous and caring spirit who touched many lives, was blessed with a loving family and a passion for helping. Devoted to his family and friends, he had an extraordinary ability to make people feel valued and loved. A compassionate man with a gift for uplifting those around him, he connected with others through his encouraging words and the vulnerability with which he shared his own story. Jeff will be remembered for the light he brought into every room and every life he touched.

His kindness, courage, and strength will be deeply missed. His generous heart, unwavering courage, and vibrant spirit leave behind a legacy that will continue to inspire all who knew him.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 23, 2026 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the Saint Joseph Abbey Church, 75376 River Road, Saint Benedict, LA. A Mass will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 23, 2026 at the Saint Joseph Abbey Church. Graveside services will follow in the Saint Joseph Abbey Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Jeff’s memory can be made to Saint Joseph Abbey.
