I remember when Mrs. Joyce was the auditor for St. Bernard Bank and Trust Co. We were in awe of her. Once there was a dinner given by the bank and she invited a few of us to stop at her home in Arabi before going to the dinner. We met her mom, a very gracious lady, who looked so much like Mrs. Joyce. We were tickled to be invited into her home. Strangely enough, just a few days ago, Mrs. Joyce came to my mind and I was wondering how she was doing and where she was now. She lived a full life. Prayers for the family. I am so sorry for your loss and will pray for you during this time. I remember how disorienting it was when my mother died, you know it is inevitable but still I had difficulty wrapping my mind around the concept that I had no parents on earth with me. It was a lonely feeling. Just know that you still have a heavenly Father and friends who care.

She was my godmother and my mother’s best friend. She and Harold were always part of our family. Sad she is gone but content that she will see Harold and my mom and dad again. They were our greatest generation.
