Bob was the son of the late Frances Boudet and Wallace Boudet Sr. He is survived by his devoted wife of 60 yrs, Janet Diket Boudet and their 3 children, Robert Boudet Jr., Bridget Rickey (Dave), and Brandon Boudet (Isabelle). He was the adoring Paw Paw to Madeline Rickey, Samuel Rickey, and Ella Boudet and step-grandchildren Carl Rickey and Marshall Rickey . He is survived by his 4 siblings, Wallace Boudet Jr. (Joyce), William Boudet (Cathy), Stephanie Drewes (Clay), Henry Boudet (the late Darlene), and many nieces, nephews and cousins that he loved dearly. Bob was raised in Algiers La, graduated from St. Aloysius High School, and received his college degree from Loyola University. He had a very successful career with Robert Bosch Corp. for 32 Years. He was very active in the many things he loved, from raising and training labrador retrievers, to boating, fishing and duck hunting. He was a longtime member of The Lucky 13 Social Club, South Louisiana Retriever Club, and Bayou Teal and Trout Club. Bob loved a party and never met a stranger. He was a charismatic story teller and could light up a room. He always did things with such a passion for life. He had countless lifelong friends and was very close to his extended family. He always enjoyed family vacations, Mardi Gras celebrations, Jazz fest, and of course LSU football, sometimes traveling all over the U.S to attend games. He loved being with his children and grandchildren. His greatest love was spending time with his high school sweet heart “Ma Dawlin” (Janet) on their boat of the same name.
A visitation for Bob will be held Thursday, February 9, 2023 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Grace Funeral Home, 450 Holy Trinity Dr. Covington, Louisiana 70433 followed by a memorial service at 11:00am. Family and friends are also invited to a Celebration of Life 12:00pm - 3:00pm at Covington Country Club.
