Rob is survived by his son Logan Robert Rosiere. He is also survived by his sister Katherine "Katie" Miller (Norman), brothers Alan Rosiere (Belinda) and Stephen Rosiere (Barbara); as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
Rob is preceded in death by his parents Lester James Rosiere, Sr. and Marguerite Anna (Timothy) Rosiere, his brother Lester James Rosiere Jr. and sister Marguerite Watts Holmes.
Rob attended St Aloysius, Warren Easton High School and The University of New Orleans. He enlisted in the US Navy in May 1968. After basic training, he attended Navy HM A school in Glades, Ill. After graduation, he was assigned to the Field Medical Service School at Camp Lejeune, N. C. Upon graduation, he was assigned to the U.S. Marine Battalion in Okinawa, Japan. After returning to the U.S., he was stationed at Pensacola Naval Air Station. He was Honorably Discharged in 1973.
Rob was a former resident and mayor of Grande Isle, before relocating to Mandeville in the late 1990's. Rob attended Our Lady of Lake Church in Mandeville, La. He was a member of Knights of Columbus Council 9240.
Rob was the proud owner of his residential contracting business “Affordable Homes LLC” having built well over 100 homes in Mandeville, St. Tammany and the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
The family would like to thank The Medical Staff of Carnival Cruise lines ship “The Glory” for the care and compassion they showed Rob in his final hours.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Grace Funeral Home, 450 Holy Trinity Drive, Covington, LA 70433 on Friday, April 5, 2024 at 12:00 PM with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM.
Burial will follow the services in Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, Slidell, LA, under the direction and care of Grace Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Robert may be made to any Disabled American Veterans organization.
