Sami Hazza Sweidan

Sami is survived by his beloved wife of 43 years, Karam AlRabadi; his children Dania Sweidan (Nader Haddad), Najd Sweidan (Loai Dababneh), and Caesar Sweidan (Britney Beard); and eight grandchildren Clarissa, Sharbel, Summer, Ryan, Ellen, Ivan, Michael, and Grace. He is also survived by his siblings Mariam, Saleem, Samira, Hind, Nashaat, Imad, Majda, Majed, Samir, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Sami is preceded in death by his parents.

Sami dedicated his entire life to his family, from siblings he touched and took care of while they were younger, to his children and grandchildren; he has always placed himself last and cared for those he loved first. He loved his wife of 43 years and traveled with her throughout the last of his years to enjoy his grandchildren whom he loved dearly. He was a devoted Catholic, a loving husband, father, uncle, and grandfather.

Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, August 4, 2022 at Grace Funeral Home, 450 Holy Trinity Drive, Covington, LA 70433 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, with Words of Remembrance beginning at 6:30 PM. Visitation will resume on Friday, August 5, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Grace Funeral Home, followed by a Funeral Mass in the Chapel at 11:00 AM, officiated by Fr. Mark Lomax.

Burial will follow the Mass in St. Lazarus of Bethany Memorial Garden, adjacent to Grace Funeral Home.
