Troy James Zerbe, 57, of Mandeville, LA, left this life peacefully on Monday, September 12, 2022, in the presence of his daughters, Morgan and Madeline Zerbe, and his lifelong friend, Jeff Scheidt. Troy was born in Reading, PA on January 2, 1965, to Nancy Schaeffer Zerbe and the late James Zerbe of Leesport, PA. In addition to his mother and children, he is survived by his grandson Jack Person, sister Lori Bowers Uhazie, and brother Kip Bowers. Troy drove Small Block Modified racecar #76 in the Reading area in the ’80s and early ’90s, earning two career wins at Big Diamond Raceway. Troy enjoyed life to the fullest. He loved to sing and dance and was quite good at both. He possessed a wealth of knowledge on music, football, and auto racing. He also enjoyed fishing, biking, comedy, concerts, and was a lover of the shore. He was a devoted father, son, and grandfather. He never missed an opportunity to play on the floor with his grandson, to surprise him with something special, or take him on an adventure, just to “see it”. He will be dearly missed and will never be forgotten by his loved ones. He was successful in life and will be forever celebrated in death. A memorial service will be held for family and friends at Grace Funeral Home, 450 Holy Trinity Drive, Covington, LA 70433 on September 24, 2022, at 3:00 PM with visitation on the same day beginning at 1:00 PM
